Meet the Iowans and Tanzanians who make up this partnership

Our team makes Tanzania Partners do great things! Both sides of our partnership is vitally important for accomplishing our goals with Hedaru.

Many members of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church are actively involved with Tanzania Partners in all aspects of the partnership, including brainstorming, planning, coordinating supplies, fund raising, and traveling to Hedaru.

The Hedaru Water Commission and members of Hedaru Lutheran Parish are equally involved in planning and implementing our projects on the ground. All labor is provided by community members.

Two ELCA missionaries, Todd and Lori Byerly, are also stationed nearby, in Same, and they have been instrumental in facilitating communication and oversight of the early stages of the water project.
